Required power:
The total power required is calculated as per below:
Pt = A x k x dt x 1.25 x S / I
| Pt | = | The required power (Total power in W). |
| A | = | The heatable sheath surface in m² |
| k | = | The heat permeability of the insulation in W/m°C (for mineral wool = 0.046) |
| dt | = | The difference in temperature in °C (the lowest permitted temperature of the medium minus the lowest frequent ambient temperature) |
| S | = | Safety factor, is put to 1.3-1.7 depending on how it is exposed to weather and wind. |
| I | = | The thickness of the insulation in meter. |
